NACOSS Recognition and Approval are viewed by both the Police and the Insurance Industry as an acceptable indication that a company operates effective procedures, and fulfills it's technical operations to an acceptable level. NACOSS undertakes to monitor the operation of companies in the Intruder Alarm, CCTV and Access Control sectors, and soon Fire Alarm Installation accreditaion.

For over 10 years Hantec Systems has guided many companies through the requirements and the implementation of necessary management systems, trained staff in all aspects of compliance with the NACOSS Codes of Practice and audited systems to ensure continued adherence to procedures. This includes the new Tier 2 Approval Category.

We also assist Recognised companies in the compilation of Quality Manuals, preparation of documented procedures, implimentation of procedures and staff training which are all required to attain ISO 9000 which is mandatory within a two year period after recognition.

Where a company wishes to expand it's area of Recognition, for example where a company wishes to operate in the CCTV or Access Control sectors, Hantec Systems is on hand to guide you through the necessary steps.

In the very near future NACOSS is to expand its' operations to include the supervision of companies installing and maintaining fire alarm systems. Screening 

Does Security Screening of new applicants tie up valuable resources within
your organisation?

If the answer to the above questions is YES, then let Hantec Systems remove
the burden of this process.

Hantec Systems have considerable experience of NSI/SSAIB and ACPO
requirements.

In the last 2 years, Hantec Systems has screened over 200 new applicants to
BS 7858 for employment within the security industry. Many of these have been
independently assessed by one of the security industries regulatory bodies and
found to be compliant to BS 7858:1996.

Five Year Telephone Pre-Screening

This can normally be completed within 24 to 48 hours, upon receipt of the
completed Application for Security Screening form, supplied by Hantec Systems.

All previous employers, character referees (and school/college if within the last five
years) are contacted, dates and reasons for leaving confirmed, and enquiries made
as to whether there is any information that may effect the applicant's employment
within the security industry.

When required, referees may be contacted in the evening if unavailable at the given
number during the day. This normally enables us to complete the telephone
screening within the 24 to 48 hours.

The results obtained are then faxed to yourselves immediately, highlighting any
problem areas that may have been identified.

Ten Year Full Postal Confirmation

A letter is sent to all referees, asking them to confirm the details that they provided
during the telephone screening. Letters are also sent out to the nominated referees
to cover the full ten-year period. The letters are sent out within 24 hours of
completing the telephone pre-screening. All are sent with a stamp-addressed
envelope to facilitate a quick return.

All references are chased until they are returned. On receipt of the references, we
check the details supplied and obtain verification of any details that do not compare
with the information supplied by the applicant. Such details are brought to your
attention immediately.

Once all the information has been collated, a full report is compiled of the complete
ten-year history of the applicant, including all responses, and forwarded to you.
